I tried BOINCing for a while, but it was too CPU-intensive, I could hear the fan working constantly.
I think if someone wants to help, setting aside some cash at the end of the month and donating it directly to the cause, or buying stuff through Amazon smile or something, will in the end help more than gridcoin 'mining'.
Yeah those are all good ideas too. But participating via mining feels different somehow than just donating money, it's like your directly participating in the research, IMO.
