Well, it is not as loud. In idle, it is like a whisper. Even in full load, is still good. I keep mine in around 23-24°C and is not bothering. I would not keep it in bedroom, but doesn't sound like a jet engine. If sound is a issue, try the HP. I was amazed by a HP DL360 G7. In idle i could not hear it.
Before trowing rotten vegetables at me for torturing the servers with such temperatures, I want to say that this is just a hobby so a AC room is way too expensive at this point.
