Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the justification for teaching Greta basic economics the fear that environmentalism leads to socialism? Much as I believe environmental solutions should be implemented by private entities as much as possible, and government should never be given an excuse to create more controls, I don't think socialism is what anyone needs to worry about in this situation. This is just misdirection, because Greta's entire cause is based on the false premise that the countries she's complaining about are the problem. She shouldn't study economics, her handlers need to look at an air quality map.
