Making it big on Steemit through Discord servers
Most new steemians like myself find it challenging and frustrating when you invest much energy into a post and not get people upvoting. After being active on steem for some days, i have discovered some keys I think will be helpful to the new steemians on steem and also with the help of discord servers.
- Communication is the Key to success.
Steem platform does not provide an avenue for private chats so most of it is done on discord servers. When you join keep in touch with what's ongoing let them notice how genuine you are. Freely ask question on authorize pages and make new friends through the chats. Don't act like you are blind by not reading instructions on channels. Don't expect an upvote from a group you disrespected.
2 Discord servers are not recycle Bins.
This is hard truth. After a previous encounter i have learnt that irrespective of your subject matter, people who don't know you may not read your post. Don't make the channels look like anyone is just dropping anything. Keep in touch with others. If it will cost you days to build a relation, stay put. Don't intrude and impose your post through personal chats on people you have not bridged a relation with. It will be trashed.

3 Mansions are not built in a day.
Don't expect to be earning right after posting your link into groups. Appreciate the little you will receive. At times it will be nothing but fall forward. Re-examine your post. Make it better the next time. Keep the pace at your standard and gently see it rise.
4 Know Your Audience: Being at the right place at the right time.
I will address this in two folds. First Tagging and second, posting on discord servers. Most new steemians write good posts but they not noticed. Well, check your tags. It must be in line with the subject matter you are communicating. I will kindly advice new steemians to also desist from creating new tags. Stick to the existing ones and go in for a noncompetitive tag to get your post on the surface.
Secondly, Discord servers are created for different purposes. Don't expect to advertise a Post on flowers on Crypto servers and expect an upvote. You missed it totally. You can join general discord servers though. But please know your specifics.
A big shoutout to all @greetersguild member. @Digitalmind @hermannsol

@romeopensa Welcome to steemit and SGG discord. I am pleased you joined the discord and be active in there.
Every newbie goes thru the similar learning curve like you did. And the duration varies. you have highlighted the four key factors that you could have discovered yourself and should be helpful for other newbies.
Keep in mind though, every steemian has limited Steem Power which determines the voting energy as well as vote value.
You can learn more of these jargons in the discord
You are on the right track and keep going.
Cheers
