Agree with you slow travel means discover new spot people we'd never run into. I did not remember that part of Greece was under Venice at that time. It should be very strange find a pair of hanging shoes around :)
Yes, the Venetians were very powerful in this area. And yes, the shoes .. hahah someone had a great night out :)
