One usually thinks that the length of the Chinese Wall is about 3,900 miles or 6,276 km. But actually, the overall length of the wall is 5,500 miles (8,851 km). The length of 3,900 miles is the length of the wall, but if plus the length of the trench and the whole complex it becomes 5,500 miles.
