Gratitude challenge: 1st day

in #gratitudechallenge6 years ago (edited)

So far I've written twice about the importance of gratitude and my positive experiences. You can read them here:

Now I decided to make my daily challenge and I encourage you also to follow my example.
My decorated gratitude jar is not ready yet, because I had to come back to Kunszentmiklós yesterday, and I replace it with a simple envelope for a while. I also took a notebook and a pen, and write all my gratitudes and blessings every morning or evening. To start the day well, it is worth writing in the morning, but I get up very early every day and it is much more convenient to deal with it in the evening.

I'll illustrate my daily post with a beautiful and original flower or landscape (or other beauties). This is also a way of strengthening my gratitude.

Then I look at the picture which can help me to draw up my thoughts. I clearly remember when I took this picture. I was in Egerszalók with one of my friend, Tünde, and this happened almost exactly 2 years ago, 1st of January. Previous day we took part on a New Year party in Eger, which was a beginning for me to my new relationship, then I moved to Miskolc in February and lived there for one and a half year.

I'm very grateful to her, because she gave me the opportunity to make new friends, especially Tamás, who was my partner till September, 2018.
I'm very grateful to her, because I know her as a really true friend who always tells the truth, even it's unpleasant.
I'm grateful because she called me to come here to work and earn money in Kunszentmiklós.
I'm grateful, because we live in one room at the accomodation and we can go to the workplace and come back with her car she drives.
And I'm also grateful to my ex-partner Tamás, who taught me to think positive and stop complain. We lived together in Miskolc, where I managed to strengthen financially and spiritually. I'm very grateful to him because he showed how to live a simple but happy and healthy life, through permaculture, vegan living, physical activities, drum circles. Thus, I have new goals: a very similar life with another partner in another place.

I feel all thanksgiving is a small step towards my goal!

Great concept, showing gratitude is something I've learned a lot about while traveling here in Ethiopia. How so many remain grateful amidst not having a lot is truly remarkable!
