I've always wanted to see New Zealand, but haven't managed to as yet. It's natural beauty speaks for itself, but the photos of your city look great. Sounds like you do have a lot to grateful for.
You definitely need to visit some day. You're a bit further away now, aren't you?
In Europe for the time being, but I will be back in Australia at some point in the future. Given my current distance from NZ I will have to it in my next visit home.
