Grateful For All The Wishes and Prayers Especially the Donations My Prayers Were Answered

Well yesterday I finally was able to go to the city and attend the American Embassy Outreach Program. Their announcement was March 16, 2018 8am-11am at the Richmond Hotel. Since I live in the province I decided to leave early because there might be traffic because of the road widening going on.

I left before 6am. The roads were still kind of quiet and the sun was just rising. The traffic was not to bad. I just wanted to be sure I get there in time. When I arrive around 7 am I thought I was early, boy was I wrong. There were already a lot of people, the outside lounge was full and I was thinking I had to stand but then the one in charge Nathan (forgot his last name) and an American, opened the door to the conference area to let us in. Wow I was #21 in the list for passports lol. The conference area was not too large could hold about 50+ only so companions were asked to stay outside. It was cold. I am glad I was early.

The area I will be going to is right in front hehe I also sat in the front but unfortunately the air condition was just above my head so it was cold. Even though there were a lot of people inside and they opened the front doors it was still cold. I commend the hotel for having good air conditioning.,

The most important area the cashier lol. They had desks for passport, report of birth, SSS and other problems and even notary needs. They were well prepared. They also kept reminding that we should have out papers all ready with requirements. Some didn't so they had to go out to look for business office for xerox and then take a picture at a photography place. They should have read all the requirements first. I am glad I did.

This is Nathan, I was allowed to take pictures but they said not to post with their faces lol. He said they would start at 7:30am - 10:30am because they have to leave the conference room at exactly 11am. So they would only accept people till 10:30am. American time and those who were early were Americans and their families. I am used to American time and I am usually early for any appointment especially if it is important.

US Consul General Russel Brown, came to visit , it was his first ever visit and tried all the famous food of Iloilo; batchoy and Mang Inasal lol. I guess I can post his face, it was in the news yesterday and in the papers. Nathan said first time he visited an Outreach Program so we had a few minutes break for his welcome address and short speech. I am honored to have seen and meet him. He was friendly and accommodating. All the personnel were. They answered all questions as best as they could and they even had a phone patch to the SSS in the Embassy in Manila or even the US if they needed to. So everything was well planned and well prepared. They even had extra ball pen for those who had none.

My fear was that I might have to go to Manila or provide more ID's because my passport was 18yrs expired hayss. I was happy when around 8am my name was called. I had all my papers, requirements with xerox copy ready. So when I passed them all, he looked at my old passport and was surprised it was way overdue. The only question asked was why I waited and what was my reason for going back I said to see my new grandson and visit my daughter. Then he stamped everything placed in a sealed envelope. Told me to pay then go to the officer for swearing in (sumpa).

Hmm their rate was higher than the bank rates of 51.72, theirs was 53 so I had to pay $135 dollars in pesos, good thing I had enough. Then went to the officer, I swore everything was correct then he gave me back my original documents and IDs, Sealed the envelope with the glue, X and stamp on the flaps.

Went to the Air 21 couriers because they were the official couriers of the US Embassy to pay for shipping. So I have to wait 3-4 weeks, will post when it arrives!

I am thankful and #grateful for @paradise-found and @henry-gant for their donation. Even though the SBD and Steem are low they still gave to me. It was a very big help for all my expenses, travel and lunch was 2,000 pesos and the fee and shipping charges 7,393 pesos. Plus expenses for pictures, xerox and printing of forms. I did a few copies just to be sure and envelop to hold all my requirements.

The many years and #tears spent, I was able to fulfill. If it were not for #steemit, I might still be waiting or I might have had to borrow or loan money for this.Thank you everyone who sent wishes and prayers for my success.
