Today I wanted to share my thoughts and concerns around success in life, with a focus on what I deem the secret to be.

The Secret to Success: Grateful humility

In my view the secret is simple. The secret is a mindset, which starts with humility and admission that you do not deserve anything...

You do not deserve anything from anyone. You do not deserve today or tomorrow, let alone to live till 75 years old.

Instead admit what is true, you have no knowledge over your length of days to come, nor to the days coming to those you love most. Acknowledge your lack of control and walk honestly, humbly, gratefully through the uncertainty, by doing one key thing.

The key is this: be grateful for this moment, you don't know what more you have, so celebrate now, rather than being consumed by past or future.

An musical artist I respect put it this way:

"Son, you can't hear past the explosions, either the ones that already happened or the ones
You anticipate"
-Propoganda, Humble Beast, 'Be Present'

So what's the secret for success?

Be humble, present & in all things grateful.

I really believe this is the secret to life, family, health, wealth, finance and personal joy.

Why? Because you can't always control your circumstances but you can control your attitude about those circumstances.

It helps also to trust that God is overseeing all things and to believe with deep faith that He is working all things, even your challenges, to His glory and the good of those who serve them.

As always thank you for time and attention, have an awesome day and God bless.

I learned a long time ago that having an attitude like thinking the world owes you something won’t get you anywhere. I’ve had a few people close to me who had that kind of an attitude and all I have to do is look at what kind of lifestyle they’re leading right now in their later years to know it doesn’t work.

Awesome, thanks for sharing.
I really think self-entitlement is poison, it kills your heart, and mind while holding you back from peace and joy. I really believe that.

So do I. After all, I’ve seen it with my own two eyes with relatives!

I agree. How can we be expected to be happy with more if we're not grateful for what we have? It can be tough when we're struggling to make it, and when we don't see where this is going. But if we can approach life from a standpoint of being grateful for everything then I think we're going to see a much more beautiful world.

So true, if you aren't happy with what you have, you won't be happy with more. So true.
