A FAST GROWING CRYPTOMARKET

The crypto market is growing every day as new technologies are introduced into the blockchain community. Companies, hospitals and other Governmental and non-governmental parastatals are introducing platforms on the blockchain ecosystem that will facilitate the ease in rendering services to their clients by tokenizing their assets.

CRYPTOCURRENCY AND THE INTERMEDIARY EXCHANGE PLATFORMS

Over 700 cryptocurrencies are currently in existence and the structure of the blockchain technology is vast enough to accommodate millions of cryptocurrencies that can be exchanged and interoperated in a decentralized economy. In trying to make a world of decentralize economies, there is need for ease of spending the values of the thousands of cryptocurrencies that are currently available on the blockchain and millions of ICOs that are yet to be launched on the platform. A cryptocurrency user who wants to buy an/some item(s) online or in a local market should be able to transact his cryptocurrency instantly at the point of trade/sale without any form of exchange to local currency before he can buy the said Item(s).

THE PROBLEM OF SPENDING DIGITAL ASSETS LOCALLY AND UNEASILY

It is no doubt that people shop more physically using local currencies in the past decade than online platform using cryptocurrencies. Point of Sale machines might be installed in local shops for online payments yet, the vendors that rendered services of transfer using these machines charge users a lot in their services. Plus, a lot of local banks short comings in verifying transactions before users can actually continue payments with fiat currency using debits and credit cards. Since the blockchain is a more secured and faster medium to transfer or exchange currencies, integrating a decentralized method of payment is therefore a paramount issue.

Taking a case study, Emy wants to pay for her lunch using her crypto wallet. Although, the restaurant she is having her lunch also accept cryptocurrencies as method of payment. The cost of Emy’s lunch was just a few fraction of a cryptocurrency that she has it wallet. For Emy to pay the waiters, she needs to create another wallet that the restaurant also has it wallet. Then she has to transfer from her current wallet to the new wallet she created just to pay her lunch bills. It took Emy some hours for her new wallet to come active and more time to receive confirmation messages of a successful completion of her transaction. When Emy was done, she realized that the period of lunch was over and she has to answer a lot of queries with her boss in the office. On the other hand, more than half of what she spent as her lunch bill was also debited from her wallet due to transfer charges that the new wallet she created debited her for the transfer she made to the restaurant wallet. She was really vexed, spending such money and wasting so much time.
Emy will have to go through the same process of creating new wallets for other vendors that might accept cryptocurrencies since there are hundreds of cryptocurrencies available that any vendor can decide to operate on. Plus the steady charges exchange platforms might charge her even when it is just a little amount she wants to spend from her crypto wallet.

GRAFT

The word “GRAFT” is an acronym which means “Global Real-time Authorizations and Funds Transfers”. It is a decentralized platform for real-time authorizations and settlement of transactions locally and globally. In other words, GRAFT can be used to purchase in local markets and internationally. We have seen the basic problem of spending different cryptocurrencies in local markets and even on the blockchain ecosystem. The time factor and charges involved in transfer of tokenized assets. Graft has been here to make the spending of digital money easier, faster secure and save more.

MY GRAFT DESIGN

I made just a single graphic design. It shows two local shops selling to different customers. One of the shops has integrated the GRAFT app on his POS while the other uses only a POS.

The two customers forgot their traditional poss but they are both have a crypto wallet. With the POS integrated with the GRAFT tech, both customers can purchase what they need no matter how little the price is.

Since there is little service charge, customers or GRAFT users can even start using their GRAFT wallet instead of traditional debit cards.
