What is graphic design?

Graphic design is the process of creating a visual representation of information – whether it’s a logo, website design , or a piece of advertising. It can involve everything from choosing the right typeface to creating a cohesive layout.

Graphic designers often work with clients to come up with a concept, then work together to create a final product that meets their needs. They may also be involved in digital marketing, which means they have to be savvy with computers and the internet.

There are a variety of schools that can teach you how to become a graphic designer, but the majority of professionals either have a college degree in graphic design or have worked.
