It is interesting that you made the connection between the controlled politics of the Grammy's and the shitty music. Just like controlled "progressive" Hollywood, the music industry is completely controlled by the globalists who wish to erode American liberty. Music in its purest form should challenge establishment narratives, but the establishment controls the musicians. Instead we have gangster rap/ drug culture, and "progressive" virtue signaling.
Art in general should be about social commentary or prompting introspection. Lame but it is what you make of it. The entire social function of art goes out the window if it's just a soapbox for His Master's Voice.
People are so indoctrinated that they lack the ability to determine the merits of art on their own. People virtue signal based on what the group mind decides they should think. The group mind is controlled from the top. I recently saw a prank video where a few kids put a pair of glasses against the wall at an art museum. They filmed as people walked by all day and talked about how moving and symbolic the glasses were.
