Freight Train Monikers
A graffiti scene that co exists with freight train graffiti is known as freight streaks or hobo monikers. They predate even NYC subway graffiti. Originally done by rail hopping hobos and railway workers they still exist today. No spray paint just grease pens.

Internet killed the graffiti magazine and Faded Glory is no exception. Back Issues sometimes surface on E bay but their publishing schedule which was erratic seems to have pretty much stopped. But I keep checking just in case

I caught this Coalt from 1988 in the early 2000's and it's in a frame on wall. Note the tag pointing to it with an arrow that says "respect". There are still some old monikers out there, and it's rail history. You will often see graffiti writers go around a moniker and leave it untouched, and it is out of respect.

Beautiful article, because monikers are an old model train. You remember us. Thanks, @viraldrome
