WHAT YOU DO FOR GOD BRINGS BLESSINGS ON YOU

“All of these descendants of Obed-Edom, including their sons and grandsons—sixty-two of them in all—were very capable men, well qualified for their work.”
1 Chronicles 26:8 (NLT)

• If you give a place to God in your life, His presence in you will permeate every part, aspect, or department, of your life and family.

• God's Presence in your life will affect your spiritual and natural side of life positively, that is, your vocation—the secular work that you do would also be affected positively.
• God's Presence in your life would give your ability to do whatever you are assigned to do well, be it secular or spiritual.

• The ark of God that symbolizes the Presence of God was taken to Obed-Edom's house, because David the king was afraid to take it to the place he had prepared for it, the City of David.

1. “David was afraid of God that day, saying, “How can I bring the ark of God to me?”
2. So David would not move the ark with him into the City of David but took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
3. The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had.”
   1 Chronicles 13:12-14 (NKJV)

• God blessed Obed-Edom because the ark of God was in his house.
• The descendants of Obed-Edom were blessed: very capable, well qualified for their work, because the man received the ark of God into his house. The blessing of what he did extended to his children and children's children.
  -If you are faithful in the matter of God's kingdom, it would bless you as well as your descendants after you.
• What you do or do not do for God and His kingdom will affect you and your descendants, children, and children's children, positively or negatively, as it depends.

• If you have an opportunity or a privilege to work for God, either in your local church, fellowship, or wherever; do whatever you are assigned to do with all your heart, as onto the Lord—without levity (1 Chronicles 29:17).

• Whatever you do for God and His kingdom on earth would be rewarded, you have not done it in vain (Ephesians 6:8).
• The reward of whatever you do for God would be extended to you children and children's children, as He did for Obed-Edom.

• God teaches how to profit and leads the way to go.

“Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God,
Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.”
Isaiah 48:17 (NKJV)

• When you serve God faithfully in whatever and wherever you have a privilege to serve Him, He will pay you in return.
• God would make up for you, compensate you, whichever way you might have suffered for His work and kingdom.

“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
Hebrews 6:10 (NKJV)

• God's Presence in Obed-Edom's house 🏠 gave birth to a number of things:

• God's Presence led to the blessing of the family, and God deposited the ability, power, to do things well in the family (1 Chronicles 26:8).
• When you walk in covenant relationship with God, you give priority to the things of His kingdom; He will make you and your home capable and well qualified for whatever you do, that is, success in all your endeavor.

• God's Presence in the Person of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you will teach you all things, things that are hidden to you (1 Corinthians 2:9-12).

“But the Helper [Comforter], the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
John 14:26 (NKJV)

• Holy Spirit will give you sound mind to think and reason aright (2 Timothy 1:7).
• He will teach you, reveal to you, things that are hidden, unknown, to you (1 Corinthians 2:9-12).
• Also, He will guide you, give you answers to solve problems of life (Daniel 5:11,12).

And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and King Nebuchadnezzar your father—your father the king—made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers.
2. Inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation.”
   Daniel 5:11,12 (NKJV)

• As you fellowship with the Holy Spirit on the inside of you, He will make you qualified for whatever you are assigned to do.

• Pay attention to whatever you are assigned to do, and do it well with all your heart, God rewards faithfulness.

• You will not fail in Jesus name.
