War and the Belief in Authority!

in #government7 years ago

If an average citizen did what soldiers do on a regular basis, they will be viewed as a lunatic, a terrorist, mentally unstable and a murderer.

However, while "following orders" of a perceived "authority", magically they become "heroes" and so "courageous."

Yeah, so courageous that they never seem to have the courage to refuse the immoral and unjust orders of their "superiors."

It is this superstitious belief in authority which causes this perpetual death and destruction.

Stalin, Mao and Hitler were essentially harmless without those servants who believed they had "authority" over them. "Just following orders" apparently exempts people from the responsibility for their actions, including murder.

It doesn't matter which side of the political spectrum you mindlessly support, what it means is you support the invasion, bombing and murder of innocent people. But, you will take NO RESPONSIBILITY for it and neither will the troops carrying it out! Why?

Because it is the belief in authority that makes you think immoral and unjust acts such are murder are ok as long as an "authority" orders them. And then when a peaceful anarchist blames the troops the excuse is always "they were just following orders."

This is why every fukin insane war and crime against humanity continues yet people always blame an outside source but never stop to question whether it is their own beliefs that continue to cause these perpetual atrocities decade after decade.

New country? Doesn't matter, if the "authority" tells us they are scary and dangerous then fuck it "lets bomb those bastards."

Anyone that supports war but doesn't actually fight themselves are cowards, and anyone that does voluntarily go to war are nothing less than murderers, travelling to the other side of the world to kill people they've never met "because a politician told them to." ZERO moral strength!

Exactly! Good post.
