What will you consider as the worst DISADVANTAGE of Democracy as a system of Government?

One of the huge drawbacks of a democratic government is the longer time it takes to make a decision. Unlike an autocratic government, where decision making is swiftly and solely made by one person, decision making in a democratic world takes longer due to the numerous protocols that have to be followed and abided by before a final decision can be made.
What is your opinion about universal SUFFERAGE under democracies which EMPOWERS a neophyte or an outright IMBECILE who can't relate logically to governmental issues determine who governs ??
