FBI Surveillance for What?

For past decade or so been seeing FBI Surveillance Van WiFi connections around my small town. Becoming more and more common for unknown reasons. Just what are they looking for? What/who are they gathering intelligence on? Just makes me a little paranoid.

Isn't much large scale crime here. Except within the government themselves. Which think we all know they don't spy on them. Unless they want to remove someone from which ever position they are in. But still doesn't add up.

I walk everywhere and all over my town. I check open WiFi connections often just because. Other day I was by the American Legion. Headed to Kroger, roughly mile or so. Within that short distance I found four of these connections. Just a strange thing for so many so close.

But I guess it is after all the American Federal Government. Most corrupt branch we have. Thoughts? News about these connections? Would love to have better understanding.
