RE: Is Government Necessary?

in #government7 years ago

Where do I say I want to ask a government to let me live how I want? In fact I am saying government should be as small as possible and have no say except in services which are needed by everyone and can't be provided individually. I don't know where it has been proven those services are far better when privatized, I live in Central America and nearly everything is privatized and because of that we are much poorer, on the other hand my country Honduras, which is the poorest in Central America also has 270 millionaires including 1 billionaire they are worth about 28,ooo million USD as a whole which is more than our yearly GDP, thanks to the privatization of these services. I think you should look at the experiences of these countries before coming to conclusions.

Sort:

"if a group doesn't want a government they could be given a certain area where they could exercise their ideas" You might as well have said "exercise their rights" If the government has the power to give people a certain area to live, it also has the power to take it. That, as well as free school and healthcare, means the government is not as small as possible. It controls education... It controls what everyone in the country will be taught, it controls what children will be brainwashed into believing. It controls healthcare... It controls who gets treatment, who gets to live and die. Government controls your health. Police? and laws? so it gets to control how everyone lives, yes. You're granting a small group of people the power to create and enforce unjust laws. None of these things are small or 'necessary' (the forcing of it, not the service itself) No country right now is a prime example of the way we should be living. I am in Canada, my friend is currently in central america getting a surgery he needed because he couldn't here. People die in waiting lists on our free healthcare. I've not seen a single person content with the healthcare system. So, I think you should look into the experiences in these borderline socialist countries to come to conclusions as well. I can give you many links if you are interested, and you can add me on facebook if you want. Voluntaryist really is best. Freedom comes first!

I think you don't want to understand what I wrote, I have seen this many times, you will not weigh any new ideas because youa re completely closed to them, you hate government and think without government you will be so much better, but remember all you have is theory you don't know if it works, I at least try to explore everything and give it some thought. As for your friend having surgery in Central Ameria what is wrong with him is he crazy? Any Central American with money would certainly prefer having a surgery in any first world country than here.

oh babe. nothing you have said is new lol, every socialist thinks they are a revolutionary. I used to be a statist, these aren't new ideas to me or anyone else. All I have is theory.. and all you have is faith in a system that has NEVER been good. EVER. I like my odds.

So now I am a socialist and you've resorted to name calling, why babe? Are you a girl, gay or are you just a troll? But you didn't answer, is your friend crazy? Or is it just a lie he is in Central America having a surgery? Because the level of medicine down here is certainly years away from what you have in Canada.

You say that I don't understand what you wrote because I'm closed off to new ideas... and then I present you with experiences and you want to write them off as lies. He's not crazy, he needed a surgery. People here go down south for dentistry too. As for levels of medicine, the US produces more medical innovation then every other country combined. Socialized healthcare falls behind. Are you referring to babe as name calling, or socialist? All statists are socialists, where there is a state there is socialism.

The country with the best medical care in Latin America is Cuba, and it's free your friend should see about going there, in Central America medicine is actually primitive and it isn't cheap as you may think, and something else the attitude here is oh he's Canadian, he's rich so let's charge him double, so yes I think he's crazy. He could always go to a public hospital but somehow I don't think he'd like the way he'd be treated there. Dentists yes, they were much less expensive but apparently not so much now, the other day my brother had some work done and he was charged about 1000 USD, my brother has a friend in Wisconcin who is a dentist and he told him in Wisconcin that's about what he would have paid for the same work. I have never called anyone babe except as a term of endearment, I really don't know if you are a man or a woman but if you're a man and call me babe here you are automatically considered gay, that's why I asked. And so you decide that I am a socialist, because I am a statist, where do I say I am a statist? So in this voluntaryist world of yours who is going to take care of prisons, education, health, police, firemen etc? If it's a small population it might work, in a large city I seriously doubt it.
