On Oct. 31, 2021, voting for the 1st Governance Period voting measure went live and will be open until Nov. 14 16:00 UTC. Currently, there are no slashing penalties for governors whose governing wallets fall under a certain balance or don't actively participate in governance. This proposal introduces slashing penalties for governors who fall under certain balance or participation thresholds, in exchange for higher staking rewards.
