MAINTAINING GOD'S STANDARD
1 John 2:3-6...And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Maintaining God's Standard means upholding, keeping up God's level of attainment and acceptance in all ramifications. For you to maintain His standard, you must surely know him. If we know who God really is, the inevitable accompaniment of knowledge is obedience; you can only obey whom you know.

For us to maintain God's standard, we have to be saved first and have an intimacy with Christ, and our evidence of intimacy with Christ is imitation of Christ. Therefore, we are to have the knowledge about God, imitate Christ and so as to be able to obey Him and maintain His standard.

Another way to maintain God's standard is to have passion for the things of God, being filled and led by the Holy Spirit so as not to fulfil the lust of the flesh. Gal. 5:6...walk in the spirit and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
