Not Enough Just Angan-Angan

Being a door opener of goodness and closing the door of evil is the ideals of the faithful, but to be able to achieve these ideals, would need sincere intention, trustworthiness, pleading for help to God, strong determination, and earnest effort. Do not forget that every high aspiration requires great sacrifice.

In addition, being a good door opener and a door closer to badness requires a proper understanding of the tips for achieving it.

Hence, in this series of articles, briefly described the causes for being a good door opener and door closure of evil.

1. Believing that Allah is Al-Fattāḥ and Carrying out the Worship Prayer from him

Including the greatest capital for a servant in reaching the door of goodness and closing of the door of evil is the true conviction that Allah is Al-Fattāḥ (the All-Good of good and law-making). It is he who opens all the doors of goodness for his servants. Al-Fattāḥ-as described by Shaykh 'Abdur Rahmân As-Sa'di raḥimahullāh- in addition to containing the meaning of your al-ḥuk, (judging or deciding) as the word of God,

قل يجمع بيننا ربنا ثم يفتح العليم

"Say:" Our Lord will gather all of us, then He will judge between us righteously. And He is the Ultimate Maker, the Knower "
(Surah Saba`: 26)
also contains other meanings, namely:

He is the one who opens all doors of goodness to His servants, as God says,

ما يفتح الله للناس من رحمة فلا ممسك لها

"Whatever Allah grants to man is mercy, no one can restrain him" (Surah Fathir: 2).

He is the One who opens the doors of the good of the world and the religion for His servants, by opening the hearts of those whom He chooses with His tenderness and concern, and adorn their hearts with monotheism and faith in Him , all of which will perfect their religion and make them istiqamah, remain firm on a straight path.

God also opened for His servants the doors of sustenance. He grants to those who put his trust in Him more than what they ask and hope, making it easier for them to overcome all the difficult affairs.

This noble belief will give birth to a servant of trust with God only, to sneer God in worship, and to pray for help only to Him, for the sake of achieving his ideals to be the door opener of goodness and the closing of the door of evil.

By living up to the content of Al-Fattāḥ's name, a servant will realize that it is impossible for him to understand the truth and to understand the truth to others and that he can not afford to practice a righteous deed and invite others to work righteously unless God reveals the good for him.

Therefore, among the subsequent causes to be mentioned so that one can be the opening of the door of goodness and the closing of the door of evil is trust and pray to Allah alone, this is the fruit of the conviction that Allah is the only Al-Fattāḥ, Who The Great and the Great is the Decision of the Law.
