I didn't know Golem, will look into it, thanks. I love the idea of using all this idle computing power for something more. These projects always remind me of SETI@home, I really hope this model succeeds now with blockchain and crypto projects.

Yes, it looks like seti is on the Gridcoin whitelist for BOINC projects
There are a lot of die-hard Gridcoin fans that believe it's the future of POW 2.0
I believe that grid coin actually is SETI.
I'd have to make sure though.
