Golem, the project that promises a supercomputer
Golem to cryptocurrency and its beta projects are getting stronger and more promising.
I am currently testing the Golem Network project and I confess that I am very surprised with the result, although it still has little job search, but over time it can be very promising.
The minimum requirements:
We support Windows 10, OS X Sierra and higher, and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
In general we recommend a processor with multiple cores and lots of RAM. At minimum, you can run Golem with:
2 GB RAM
2 cores
20 GB HDD
public IP or ability to forward ports or router with UPnP activated
For more demanding renders like the Production Benchmark you will need at least:
16 GB RAM
6 cores

The installation is very easy and it is based on containers and docker and uses the docker toolbox with virtualbox. I found the idea and their help tools like this docker toolbox very interesting.
Cons: It's a bit time consuming to boot and as this in beta times hangs and you need to close and reopen the app.

Advanced feature settings screen from your machine to loan. Be careful here, because some feature you have to leave leftover not to overload your machine and your internet.
Note: Before changing the settings you must stop the service and start it again. If the program complains about ports, check on your modem if you can apply settings to open the required ports the golem needs. In case my modem uses Upnp and the rules have been applied automatically and only had to release the firewall.
