Oh, what is this mysterious force
That binds the stars and planets in their course?
That makes the moon and earth embrace

Is it not love, that potent spell

Upon this wondrous sphere of light
And fills their souls with pure delight?

Love, that can make two beings one
And fuse their spirits like the sun
That can defy the laws of space and time
and find its perfect place sublime

Love, that can lift the lowest mind
And make it soar above its kind
That can inspire the noblest deed
And satisfy the deepest need

Love, that is both strong and tender
That can resist and can surrender
That can endure the darkest night
And shine with everlasting light

Love, that is the gravity of life
That holds together joy and strife
That is the source of all creation
And the goal of all aspiration

Oh, may we ever feel its power
And cherish it as our most precious dower
And may we never lose its sight
