It is quite amazing how man has rearranged the earth to fit his needs. Great photos!
True we have. The drainage system has been updated over the 100's of years it has been here but you are right.
We live in a highly engineered environment. Nature has covered most of it up but it's apparent in these photos when you take a moment to look and think about it.
The 'countryside' that I photograph is basically an open air food factory!
I suspect a huge portion of the earth has been engineered, not just your area.
You are right. We've been 'doing it' for quite a while. What is interesting to me is how nature creeps back in and takes over.
And, considering it all, it doesn't take long for that to happen.
