Photography #7 - Saudanes point, Northern Iceland

I thought I'd add this little capture to my growing collection of sky and #goldenhourphotography posts...

I took this photo at one of the northern parts of Iceland called Siglufjordur, just north of the town of the same name, and overlooking the Saudanes lighthouse (the little red structure to the right of my photo).

Our trusty Dacia Duster got us all around the island without a hitch (on studded tyres - we really needed them on some roads, and as you can see in the photo). There were some excellent sheets of ice on the roadsides, making photography quite precarious at times. Especially this shot, as I was at a cliff edge!

Looking out to sea, directly north of here...the arctic circle. What a great view it was - no noise, no traffic and just the sound of the waves below...truly a golden hour moment. I do love those.
