JESUS CAME TO CALL SINNERS TO RIGHTEOUSNESS (MY ENTRY TO GOLDEN CENSER CHALLENGE # 28)

MESSAGE:

Luke 5:30-32 (NIV)

But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their
sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax
collectors and sinners?”
Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

The self righteous Pharisees came to Jesus Christ in their known manner
asking why Jesus should mingle with sinners.
To them their self righteous doctrine of condemnation and separation was violated by Jesus Christ.

Christ gave them the shock of their lives when he said to them.
"I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Coming in contact with unbelievers does not mean compromise with their sinful ways.
