What does grace mean in Jesus Christ?

Many people feel satisfied with the idea that grace is about forgiveness of sins. However, if grace covered all this, what would stop us from sinning again and again, and repeatedly ask for forgiveness? In this way the seriousness of sin would not be as serious as it really is.

The grace of Jesus Christ includes much more, much more than forgiveness. It also means truth and help, to finish sinning completely, which is God's intention for us as Christians.

This is the best hope of the New Covenant. In the Old Covenant they could also receive forgiveness of sins, but nothing could get them out of sin. Now, by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, we can achieve much more. Now we can become perfect. (Hebrews 6.1)

The grace that is available to us means that we receive power from above that is greater than the power that sin has over us. This power is enough to take us through every temptation without sinning. We can confidently approach the throne of grace and receive help in a timely manner. We must not let this grace be in vain in our lives.

I fully trust that the grace of Jesus Christ is in my life and that of my family, and that it will help me to continue on the path of goodness away from sin.
