We headed up highway 2 into the San Gabriel mountains to the Vincent Gap trailhead. We got our gear together and headed down Vincent Gulch. The springs were flowing good and the canyon was pretty green. We got down to the Mine Gulch camp and setup our camp there. Then I spent the next few days prospecting. Sampling different areas. I have yet to find a really good spot in this area, but I know the gold is there. After a few days of digging I had only found a few small specks, but we still had a great time. The kids mostly just laid around, but they were super happy just to get out in the mountains. After a few days we decided to hike out and we headed back up the Vincent Gulch trail to the trailhead at Vincent Gap.
