Gold Prospecting Trips - East Fork

Me and the kids headed up to the San Gabriel river for another prospecting trip on the East fork. We got a late start and it was a hot day so we took it easy and only hiked halfway to our spot the first day. So we made a temporary camp about 4 miles in. The next day we hiked the rest of the way to our spot and setup our camp there. We spent a few days digging and found some nice gold. No nuggets, but we did get a few nice pickers. The weather was great, the animals were out, the trees were green... I just love every minute up there, the East fork is a really awesome place!
