10 Things You Didn't Know About Gogglebox's Tom Malone Jr

So my name is Tom Malone Jr. I'm currently a cast member on Channel 4's award winning TV show Gogglebox, which is great.

However, people rarely know about my life off camera, and the things I do in my "normal" day to day life. So I thought, what better way to introduce myself than a post that tells you 10 things about me that the majority of you probably didn't know.

So let's get started.

Probably the most overwhelming aspect of my life is the that fact I'm a dancer. I dance a number of different styles from ballet and tap to locking and house. But my style of choice would be breaking. Breaking is what most of you probably know as "breakdancing" but we don't really like that term. (That's a discussion for another post).
I have a dance crew. My crew is an all-styles dance crew that specialise in a number of street dance styles and choreography. We are called Ruff Diamond and you may have heard of us before as we came runners up on Sky1's Got To Dance in 2013 (although I didn't appear on the show with them).
Although my family are typically known as the "Manchester Family" on Gogglebox, I currently live in London. I just travel back to Manchester to see my family and to film for the show.
A question I get asked a lot is "how many dogs do you have?". Well my family have 5 dogs (4 Rottweilers and a Staffie cross). Their names are Frank, Dave, Izzie, Lucy and Bob. They all make appearances on the show from time to time...Dave normally for all the wrong reasons.
I am lucky enough to have danced for some amazing artists including Rita Ora, Fergieand Wiley (either on stage or in music videos). Part of my job as a dancer is sometimes backing dancing for these awesome acts.
I have a VERY irrational fear or stickiness. Anything sticky gives me goosebumps and sends a shiver down my spine. It's NO joke and I am very aware of how silly it seems haha.
When I was 14 I was in a short film for Film4 called "Five Miles Out" as the lead male. It's only a 20 minute long film but it was fun to film (apart from the scenes in the ice cold water).
I travel the world with my dancing. I have competed in Holland, USA, Portugal, Slovakia. I've even taught workshops as far as Canada. Dance has taken me all over the place.
I am a college dropout. It's as simple as that really. I did my first year of 6th form and quickly realised that higher education wasn't for me. I'm not the sort of person who can knuckle down and be the person society wants me to be. I guess I'm too stubborn to conform.
My amazing girlfriend Phoebe is also a dancer. She is actually a backing dancer for American artist Bebe Rexha, and has also danced for the likes of Jess Glynn, Louisa Johnson and the Black Eyed Peas.
