The most important psychological-pedagogical problem in using physical punishment is that students become accustomed to it, which means that the intensity of the punishment should be increased, creating a vicious and tragical atmosphere. As a rule, the punished student draws the class's attention. Thus some students have a need to be a center of attention by means of acts that lead to punishment.
