Supernatural truth and cognitive process /part 10/

The supernatural truths contained in St. Scripture is not an expression of abstract-logical thinking. The notions of God in Revelation differ from the notion that God is a pure thought. The Triune God is above all love. Absolute thinking is also love, not logical, abstraction-free abstraction. "God is not an idea that can be accepted or rejected, nor a concept or idea that can correspond to any objective reality or not, but is a reality present, the immediate reality of which a religious person is in personal communication". The living God of our faith we perceive above all in the category "correlation because we exist in the faith only referenced to God.

It also determines our human nature, because in God we can be fully known (1 Cor. 13: 12). Any other relationship may determine the personality in terms of its useful and functional significance, make it a means of achieving certain goals, and rob its unconditionalness. Relative to God, the person receives the "endless reality of his existence," as Kierkegor speaks of. Definitions of God through speculative philosophical thinking / ep. Berkeley, Fichte, Hegel / reduce Absolutely to Thinking. The mind, the thought, the idea are divine. Pure thinking is brought to the level of an individual subject, to a sort of demiurge and a constructor of matter. In the system of supernatural truths, God is thinking and love. Love is the basic attitude of God to creation. The logos of the whole universe, the Creative First Cause, and Primitive is Love at the same time. The unfolding of the Logos as Thought and Idea in the created being is creative, because as thoughts God is Love and Love is Thought. The Thought, the Love and the Will of God are inseparably and innocently present as Sense and Truth in the dynamic rhythm of the infinite universe. That is why, in religious thinking, the God-destined truth is above all Christocentric, because the incarnate God Word is the beginning, foundation, and purpose of all creation and a living source of our knowledge of God.

God-destroying truth is the truth of faith, it is a postulate, it is true "a priori," which in the process of faith acquires its apostate and existential characteristics. And this means that this truth is not faith itself, but it stems from it, it is constituted on this basis and is the theoretical expression and result of the human-reflected understanding of this faith. Theology itself as a science, dressed in the forms of human thinking, is precisely the theoretical sense discovery and reflection of this faith. This is the human pursuit in the historical development of the Church of Christ in the formulation, in the categories of human cognitive and mental ability, of the meaning, essence, purpose and meaning of supernatural Revelation. In this aspect, "theology is the understanding of faith". Achieved by this way truth is subjective in its external form, because this component is the product of the thinking spirit. The Christian truths of the Revelation, viewed in the "God-Man-World" scheme, have their objective content in God's nature and subjective form in the person who as a knowing subject is conditioned by his cognitive abilities and the specificity of the relevant historical reality. This scheme is of a purely theological nature and it is qualitatively different from the classical theoretical-cognitive relation "subject-object", where the system of knowledge is built on the sensory experience of the entity knowing the objective reality.
