Life and creativity of Stendhal /part 3/

Since 1822, Stendhal has been working on a kind of philosophical psychological study "For Love". Art Decentrator Stendhal undertakes to write "For Love" - a strange creation, a peculiar monographic study of love passion, in which the writer sets the goal the detailed and thorough description of all the emotions that are part of the experience . The romantic warmth is as if removed from the analysis of the mechanisms that generate and sustain the love passion. Stendhal adheres to the method that has attracted him as a teenager, the method of ideologists who are trying to understand how ideas emerge by turning their back on classical / academic / psychology. In this philosophical psychological essay, Stendhal develops an original theory, the "theory of crystallization," according to which the mind of his loved one builds up an idea of his beloved guided by his desires and elevates it as the perfect, perfect being. It outlines in essence the situations the writer will use often in the fictional world of his novels, for example, when the beloved woman holds the hand of his beloved, and thus confesses to his passionate affection for him or the insight that the lust in love is much more exciting than the realization of love.

Returning to Paris, he finished a bold and strange romantic manifesto entitled "Racine et Shakespeare", published in 1823. The collection "Rasin and Shakespeare" is one of the first manifestations of Romanticism that emerged in the early 1920s in France. In him, Stendhal develops the basic idea that during his establishment, every historical period was "romantic" that romanticism vigorously filled every era in the cultural history of Europe. In 1825, Stendhal wrote a pamphlet, "For a New Conspiracy Against the Industrialists". While residing in Paris, though often returning to his beloved Italy and traveling to England, Stendhal collaborated in several French magazines. He visits the lobbies as well as the romantic circles, although they are in conflict at the time. People who then maintain liberalism in economics and politics are reluctant to accept the new ideological and artistic pursuits of Romanticism. Stantel, whose culture is cosmopolitan and his critical assessments accurate and thorough, is a fervent supporter of Romanticism through his vision of art and, above all, of his lifestyle. He denies the canons of classical beauty - in his view, Beauty depends on opinion - and by denying this denial it helps the then connoisseurs of painting to rediscover the art of Raphael and Cordage, whose Venuses seem far more excited than the ancient images of Aphrodite. He is a defender of modern art, whose only purpose is to give the contemporary the greatest pleasure and to nurture his emotional aspirations.

In 1827, Stendhal interrupted his love relationship with Clementine Curial, who intimately named Menti. In the same year, his first novel Armance was released. The main character in it is Octav de Malwier, son of emigrants. He is a young man with a passionate soul and high claims, but his qualities and requirements are confronted with the harsh reality. The main conflict in this early work of the narrator Stendhal is built on a productive model that will be successfully exploited in the masterpiece novels of the writer. In 1829, Stendhal was engaged in a new love affair with Alberta de Ribampre, named "Madame Lazur". At the same time, he created his travels "Promenades dans Rome" and the novel, which was welcomed by readers, "Vanina Vanini". Later, it will be included in the collection "Italian Chronicles" , which Stendhal conceived in 1833. In this book the writer uses stories about tragic events and fatal passions created during the period XVI-XVII century. Attracted by their credibility, Stendhal recurs events according to their own preferences. In the gloomy world of the novels, "Abbese de Castro"," La Duchesse de Palliano "and" Cencci " prevail the scenes of violence, murder and The heroes express their boiling emotional and physical energy without complying with established moral norms and moral prescriptions.
