Covenant Keeping God
A song says;
Covenant keeping God, there's no one like you Alpha Omega...... there's no one like You.
Yes, our God is a covenant God. He doesn't break covenant and He would never break His covenant.
When we are not faithful, He (God) remains faithful. He can not deny Himself. God's promise to David remains forever. And this is an contrast to the promise of a man. Only by God's help can a man keep a promise.
Men naturally are covenant breakers. When men promise they will failed due to man nature. They might later fulfill the promise but they will surely fail you.
As regenerated souls, we must ensure that we keep our promises. Don't make vague promises, make promises and rely on God's help for fulfilment.
Remember, despite the misdeeds of Jehoram, the promise of God towards the house of David stand. But the wicked man would not go unpunished if he refused to repent.
Confess this prayer;
I receive power to fulfill God's covenant and I break all evil covenant over me with the blood of Jesus.
