THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY. WHAT DOES THE BIBLE REALLY TEACH?

"DELIVERANCE" comes from the word DELIVER which means TO SET FREE, TO TRANSPORT SAFELY FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER.

Luke 4:18
[18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, TO PREACH DELIVERANCE to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

This scripture is a fulfillment of the Messianic prophecy that was spoken, concerning Jesus in Isaiah 61:1.
Here again Jesus, reiterates that DELIVERANCE is not a church service nor is it a ministry. It is a message that is meant to be PREACHED.

The five-fold ministry is clearly spelt out in Ephesians 4:9-13 and the DELIVERANCE MINISTRY is not one of them.

Nowhere in the entire scriptures does God place upon man the responsibility to deliver. Because truly no man can deliver another man. "DELIVERANCE" is an exclusive reserve of GOD and only God can deliver man.

Deliverance is an equation that involves God and man. God's responsibility is to deliver, while the only responsibility of man clearly spelt out in scriptures is "TO PREACH".

Colossians 1:12-13

[12] Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
[13] WHO HATH DELIVERED us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

From verse 13,we see that "HE HATH DELIVERED US". God is not planning to deliver anyone, He has already delivered us, our job then is to preach this potential-deliverance, that they who believe in what has been preached, would most assuredly be translated into the kingdom of light.

GOD HAS DELIVERED, MAN'S ONLY ASSIGNMENT IS TO PREACH
