We must look at our life as a candle, which is made of wax and wick
wax is our faith, the wick is hope
and faith and hope burn together like wax and wick under the work of fire

sadness is one of the greatest dangers to peace of mind.

a thousand temptations arise because of him: agitation, anger, accusation, dissatisfaction with one's own fate,
debauchery thoughts, permanent change of place
sometimes the evil spirit of sorrow takes possession of the soul and deprives it of humility
and kindness towards brothers and gives rise to repulsion towards any conversation.
then the soul avoids people believing that they are at the origin of its disorder and does not understand that the cause of its disorder is itself
the soul full of sorrow and as if out of his mind is unable to accept in peace the good advice that is brought to him
the first medicine with which man soon finds his comfort is the humility of the heart
this disease is treated with prayer, abstinence from speaking in the desert, a hand-made thing according to one's own strength,
reading the Word of God and patience.
Make peace with God and many people will come to make peace with you.
