Praying using the promises of God

Jesus clearly taught that we had many afflictions in this life. But God has given his children wonderful resources so that the tests do not crush us. For example, he put his Spirit in every believer to guide and train him. In addition, he gave us the prayer, for what we benefit them with our heavenly Father and presents our petitions.

Today I want to focus on another of his wonderful gifts: the Bible. The very Word of God. She is the truth. Never change. It enables us in all circumstances, and that is why we have a secure base on the basic quality of our life and decisions.

There are thousands of promises in the Bible and God wants us to know them, so that we do not disapprove of the blessings He wants to give us. And the wise believers turn those promises into prayers and into the cry of their hearts.

Let me give you an example that has to do with difficult decisions. Psalm 32.8 : "I will make you understand, and I will show you the way in which you must walk, I will fix my eyes on you". We can pray using these words of God, telling him that we believe that he teaches us and will indicate his way, at the same time that he stays by our side taking care of us in every situation.

When difficulties arise, we need a solid foundation on which to stand firm. Otherwise, our emotions can easily lead us astray by making us think wrongly. God is faithful and does not change, so we can trust his promises.
