The path to Gnosis in the bible: How then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? John 3:12

in #gnosis2 years ago

Gnosis is a cosmic and universal mystical knowledge that transcends time and the civilizations of humanity, something that only the great ascended masters have achieved. An example of this is King Solomon who meets God in a dream and receives from the Lord a wise and understanding heart to wisely govern the kingdom of Israel.
But the inner enlightenment in the Christian faith has a special significance, Gnosis is also a special power, is the revelation of the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth, the third person of the Holy Trinity: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" Acts 1:8.
The ascended master Jesus in the gospels, teaches us the path to Gnosis, the inner illumination of consciousness. Gnosis represents a very special psychological phenomenon, the access of the mind to the truth, the birth of the spiritual man. Nicodemus, a doctor of the Law of Moses, has an encounter with Jesus, and there he receives the Gnostic knowledge of the Lord.
But Nicodemus does not understand, to the point that they confuse the physical birth with the spiritual birth, these two births are different things: "´You are Israel's teacher,´ said Jesus, ´and do you not understand these things?´" John 3:10. That's why Jesus insists: "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit" John 3:5-6.
Jesus understands that Nicodemus is an earthly man, tied to the issues of the body, that is why he tells him that the revelation of the Kingdom of God belongs to those who understand spiritual knowledge through Gnosis: "I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?" John 3:12.
Only those who receive Gnosis, Jesus tells us, truly know God: "Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God" Matthew 5:8.
