Some Cool Gmail Features
Gmail has some cool features that might help you to be more productive. Here are some. Namely, Mute, Archive and Snooze.
Archive
I usually tend to trash messages than to archive them but trash messages gets automatically deleted (permanantly!) after 30 days.
Archiving hides your emails without deleting them. So I would suggest myself and you to archive them, just in case need arises.
Archived emails can be seen under 'all mail' label, and if you receive reply on archived message, Gmail will automatically unarchive it, except that you can select 'unarchive' option to unarchive particular email.
Mute
As the name implies, it will mute your emails, ha! You won't receive notifications for muted emails. You can see muted emails in 'All Mails' label.
Unlike archive function, if muted email receives new reply it won't appear in inbox.
To unmute, you will have to go to email that you muted then unmute it.
Snooze
Just like you snooze your alarm clock, you can snooze email too.
When you snooze an email it will re-surface at time you specified. You can snooze read and unread email both.
You can find snoozed emails under 'Snoozed' label.
This feature can be handy when particular email needs your attention in future. You can snooze emails for days to weeks.
PS: How does post feel without any image?
