INTRODUCTION

What is REIT?

Reit is Real estate Investment Trust and according to Investopedia, can be defined as any Company that owns, operates or finances income-producing real estate. Not just any real estate company can qualify as a REIT mind you, for one to qualify, it has to meet certain regulatory guidelines.
REITs most times can be traded as stock on major exchanges and this provides investors with a liquid stake in Real Estate.

Now many of us that take part in online Businesses most times wish to also invest in real estates etc. But we most times don't have the experience or courage to venture into the unknown. This can act as a barrier to our investment plans. another barrier is the fact that there are also a lot of regulations and of course the financial aspect of trying to jump these hurdles.

These were some of the reasons traditional REITs were established: to help in mitigating these risks and burdens.
