Lawsuit Over XRP Has Gone Exceedingly Well

The CEO of Ripple Labs says the lawsuit filed by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) against him and his company over XRP has been extremely good. He emphasized that the case was important, not just for Ripple, but for the entire crypto industry in the United States.

Ripple CEO Brad Girlinghouse discussed the SEC lawsuit over the sale of XRP during a fireside chat during the Paris Blockchain Week summit on Thursday.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission sued Ripple, Garlinghouse, and co-founder Chris Larsen for the sale of XRP in December 2020, which the Securities Watchdog said was an unregistered security offer. Ripple has disputed the SEC's results, emphasizing that XRP is not a security.
