The Digital Asset Uncontrolled by Central Banks

in #gjdkhls2 years ago

Gold has been used as a form of currency, store of value, and investment asset for centuries. However, in recent years there have been increasing calls for gold to be replaced by Bitcoin (BTC) as the new global reserve currency. There are several reasons for this, including BTC's limited supply, its portability and divisibility, and its status as a digital asset that is not subject to central bank control.
Bitcoin's Limited Supply Makes it a Scarce Asset.

One of the key properties of gold that has made it so valuable is its limited supply. There is only a finite amount of gold in the world, and this scarcity has helped to drive up its price. Bitcoin shares this property, as there will only ever be 21 million BTC in existence. This makes BTC a scarce asset that is likely to increase in value over time as demand increases relative to supply.
