Dreams of Doing Some Real Giveaways
I was thinking last night we could make an account for giveaways, not crypto-giveaways but real items shipped to the winners bought with crypto. One of the sites I use regularly (fasttech) accepts bitcoin and ships worldwide. Building up a Steem Dollar reward pool wouldn't be that difficult.
These above items could all be shipped to any winner in the world for under 50 Steem Dollars, some as cheap as 10 Steem Dollars (with shipping). As the prize pool increases so could the value of the rewards. They have cell phones, tablets, TV media centres, quad copters, vape supplies, projectors, toys, hobby kits, video game controllers, plus so much more. The prize could be anything out of fasttech's extensive catalogue.
There is a downside
Shipping with fasttech is slow, it would be faster to strap the package to a turtle and send it on it's way, than their shipping method. Delivery to North America takes around a month! So until items start arriving to people, the only evidence we will have will be purchase receipts and shipping invoices.
Why Fasttech?
Free Worldwide Shipping! Yeah it will take a while to get there, but this means every steemian, no matter their location, will be able to take part.
The Dream
If the new (not yet created) account becomes half as popular as steemsports, we could give away something decent to a lucky steemian every day! This new account would owe a % of its liquid STEEM to TASKMANAGER for buyback purposes, but all the Steem Dollars and most of the liquid STEEM could be used for rewards.
I think it would be pretty cool to show people you can get some real free things by using steemit! Let me know what you think in the comments and if you would support such an idea.
