I'm from Central Upstate New York. There is different ways to speak all across America. We can usually tell what part of America eachother are from by slang and accent.
That's the same in the UK also, Colloquialism I suppose we define it as, nice to see the terminology crosses both sides of the Atlantic, nice to meet you my maybe distant cousin.
