Enter for a chance to win $X in Bitcoin... Good idea or bad?

Hello Steemit community, I'm Alan, Editor-in-Chief at Crypto Answers, a new but quickly growing cryptocurrency and blockchain media outlet. We seek to be a force for good in the cryptocurrency community by bringing our readers and followers the latest in cryptocurrency and blockchain news and resources.

In order to grow our viewership and help spread the word about the awesomeness of Steemit (check out our steem coin page: https://cryptoanswers.net/coins/p-t/steem-steem), I need your help.

Each new article we post from now on, we intend to append a giveaway at the bottom. The prize for the giveaway is $X amount of dollars in Bitcoin, for now it's $5 (all I can afford for now). In order to claim a 'raffle ticket', entrants are instructed to like, follow, subscribe or share the article, and in exchange are rewarded with raffle tickets (rafflecopter). Do you guys think this is a good idea to attract new followers? Aside from potential fake accounts that may take advantage of this giveaway, does anyone see a down-side to this? My main concern is to not comes across as spammy.
