All the glitter in the world

I have about 14 different African Violets. All of them I grew from a leaf cutting that I received, or I took from my old dying plant. I love them all and they all bloom for me at least once a year.
This pink one here beats the record though! It has the most gorgeous, huge (for a violet) flowers and it blooms and blooms and blooms. Multiple flowers in one time. Sometimes there is so many of them that they get all clumped to a mass of pinkness :

See all the sparkles? They shine like disco balls in the sun. Full of tiny tiny glitters and the petals are so delicate that if you touch it harder or bump it they will get bruised. They are gentle princesses.
And they must be tasty ones. Not once my cat found a blooming one in her reach and munched all the flowers leaving just the stems behind.

If you want to propagate one of those, just gently snap a healthy leaf and simply stick it in a light compost on an angle. Make sure it is moist, but not soggy. It about a two or three months, depending on your home conditions, temperature and how deep the leaf is, you should see tiny little baby leafs popping :) And there you have new plants. And not just one! One single leaf can produce multiple plantlets. My record was 12 little babies!

Wait until they grow bigger and have their own roots... another 2-3 months should be enough. Then you can gently separate them and pot separately in small pots. Don't put them in too big ones, they will stay wet for too long and it might cause root rot.

After all that just enjoy your new flowers. Most likely they will bloom in less than a year from planting the leaf. They are such easy plants and so worth growing.
