My review for the A Dollar A Day initiative

What is the initiative all about?
@adollaraday provides support for numerous projects on the blockchain. This has turned out to help and provide assistance to a lot of communities but first I would like to explain what a dollar a day really is and the idea behind it…
A Dollar A Day was first introduced by a steemian @pennsif in November 2017 where he donated 1 dollar everyday to a charitable cause here on steemit, the idea was to return to one of the most beautiful parts of steemit - being able to give, freely.
At first the initiative was only meant to be a small personal project to make it easy for @pennsif to give money to good causes on steemit, based on the 'little and often' principle but with the support gotten from various persons the initiative grew to be more and was able to reach out to different other projects on steemit, the first generous folks who joined the initiative includes; - @gmuxx, @mother2chicks and @HopeHuggs.
The initiative was resumed on the first of may 2018 giving a minimum of 1 SBD every day to a charitable cause.
In the first instance @pennsif decided to revisit the good causes he supported first time round which included :

Birth of the A Dollar A Day logo
@hungryhustle very kindly offered to produce a logo for the project which @penn2isif was delighted to take him up on the offer. Within just a few days the job was done and the logo was available to be used!
Uses of the different supports acquired by A Dollar A Day
- A Dollar A Day is uses delegated steem power to auto-vote the people and projects that receive the daily donations.
- Support in liquid steem and sbd are also given away to charitable causes picked up by the initiative
- Upvotes help to grow and accumulate steem power and also grow liquid steem to support projects on the steem blockchain
Impacts of the A Dollar A Day initiative
A Dollar A Day has successfully created many impact on various aspects of people's life on the blockchain, through this project children have been educated, women have been empowered and there has been girl enlightenment, family protection and provision of animal care
Education: Through projects like School For SDG4, The Greens and The Papillon Foundation and Papillon Charity A Dollar A Day has been able to reach out to children positively by providing funds for education
Women Empowerment: through the Women Empowerment project and Woman’s Co-operative A Dollar A Day has successfully carried out women empowerment activities which includes providing aid for women, counselling and support!
Girl-child/Social Enlightenment: Through the Girls Foundation project A Dollar A Day has been able to reach out to the girl-child. The initiative has provided support which has been used to organize outreach programs, seminars and general sensitization of the girl child in nigeria. They also support visits to local schools and orphanages.
