The 5 Biggest Coffee Blunders

4 out of 5 people drink coffee in their daily routines, and almost half of them usually do these blunders with their coffee or while making their coffee cuppa. People have different preferences for having their coffee but not everybody who drinks it can make it correctly. However, they even don’t know what they’re doing wrong when making their coffee, unlike the ones we drink at coffee cafes and adore the taste. Let's explore the blunders people do.

1. Brewing without maintaining the proper water-to-ground ratio

People don’t measure the amount of water a ground required which makes the brewing process imbalanced due to excess water quantity. People usually drink coffee to kickstart their day and sometimes the coffee just doesn’t hit that kick to start the day, we don’t know what we did wrong but in reality, we are making blunders by not using the measuring cup and just putting down the coffee in water. But not measuring the water-to-ground ratio is the biggest blunder one could make.

2. Use aged coffee beans or grounds

Old coffee beans are like those old spices which have the color but the flavor is just gone because the flavor or the aroma just left the powder like when a soul leaves a body. The flavors just oxidize and all the healthy elements like antioxidants, are flown away and the only thing which is left in the old coffee beans/grounds is just a bad unappetizing flavor that makes you feel ‘this is not good’.

3. Going for the easy and fastest ways of brewing

Everyone wants the perfect cup of coffee but no one wants to spend quality time with the brewing process. You are not a coffee lover if you don’t adore the brewing process and go for the easiest and fastest way of brewing it while ignoring the fact that it is going to reflect in the taste & odor.

4. Excessive pouring of milk and sugar in coffee

Coffee is supposed to do kickstarting the metabolism of the body by burning up the fat and activating the fatty acids in our body and if we add too much milk and sugar in it so the purpose is gone. However, people who treat their coffee as milkshakes and smoothies should understand the fact that the daily consumption of these kinds of high-sugar content milkshakes aka (coffee) is very unhealthy because it took the purpose away from coffee.

5. Using an unclean brewing machine and filters

Unclean machines and filters do carry germs although the old leftovers in the filters make the fresh coffee brewing process disturbed because of the contamination from our surroundings. Like every other utensil coffee brewing machines also required a cleaning process in order to avoid dirt and the cleaning will also provide the freshly brewed coffee with a fine taste and the prevention from unwanted viruses.

6. Warming up your coffee again & again in the microwave

Warming up the coffee again & again in the microwave can make the coffee taste bad, and not taste like it was earlier. Because the fragrances, which are a fundamental component of what gives coffee its flavors, are broken down by the microwave.

For a cup of coffee, different people have different preferences. But for avoiding the blunders one should avoid the above mistakes and easily makes the coffee making process easier and the coffee tastier.
